Bites for Large Tortoises came about from requests of Tortoise breeders asking for a larger size “Bite” for their tortoises. After several years of providing this larger “Bite” in 5 Gallon buckets for a breeder, we noticed that it was a popular product and should be offered in smaller sizes as well for those herptile enthusiasts whose tortoises have grown and would like the larger size “Bite”.
